Learning as I live!

When friends ask you to do something, no matter how hard it may be, you do it because that is what friends do!  I put up my wall up and did everything I could yesterday to say "yes" to requests that were made, no matter how extremely hard those requests were...because THAT is what friends do!

Today is going to be another rough day but I put that wall back up, put on my dress, and prepare for the funeral...

My heart is so heavy for this family. I commend your strength and loyalty to be there and do what you need to do to be of help and encouragement. Some times, no matter how hard we try, or how pure the intentions of our hearts may be, we will be judged and misunderstood. Take heart though. Recently, this verse has meant a lot to me in those moments I have felt rejected, misunderstood, or judged when my motives and intentions were pure.

"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in INSULTS, in HARDSHIPS, in PERSECUTION, in DIFFICULTIES. For when I am weak, then I am strong."
2 Corinthians 12:8-10

We may not always win the approval of others, but you have an audience of One, and that's all that really matters. His grace is all you need.

I write this because you touched upon the fact (in a previous post) that you had felt the "heat" of someone's emotions, in a time when you were genuinely trying to be helpful, despite your own emotional fragility. God sees that. He can bring grace and strength to any situation.

Praying over this entire situation, the magnitude of the loss, and the ripple effect it has had on all who are involved...including you!
