A year ago yesterday, we started dating, look at us now! Counting down the days until I become the wife and he becomes the husband and we are truely excited that the numbers are getting smaller and smaller. The plans are going pretty good at this point but being away from the Mom's, it makes things hard sometimes.
After he sang the new "Happy Anniversary" song to me that he wrote all by himself, we decided to go to the Detroit Zoo. As we pulled in we both knew that it was going to be a long day since the parking decks were full and about a dozen buses outlined the lot...CHILDREN EVERYWHERE! Well duh, we were at a zoo! It does help sometimes that I am 6 feet tall because I just leaned in for the perfect picture and let the little ones oooooohhhh and ahhhhhh all day long. It was a beautiful day too, not too hot, not too cold. Some of the animals were taking a nap since it was just after lunch time for them but it seemed like we hit them at the perfect time because they either were just getting up to stretch or woke up for just a second to yawn so the pictures turned out better than ever.
What a wonderful year we have had! Wouldn't change a thing if I could. Thank you God for blessing us!

Awesome pictures! The kids really enjoyed them. We need to get to the zoo since we live a lot closer now :)
