** I won't be posting any pictures because my husband would freak out!
I gave Bug a bath then jumped in the shower since I was soaked already but noticed that I didn't have hot water. I went downstairs to see what was going on, thinking that maybe the pilot light went out due to the heavy wind but the basement was flooded. 40 +/- gallons of water EVERYWHERE! I made sure baby was settled, grabbed the monitor and ran down the street to seek help from the neighbor (I couldn't get the stinkin water turned off) Keith came down and turned off the gas and water and started mopping up the water while I called the insurance company. They sent out a restoration company that was going to take 2-3 days to get here but I made sure they knew I was here alone with a newborn and 2 hours later they were knocking on my door. 5 hours later, everyone is gone, new water heater is up and running and we are going to fall asleep to the wonderful huuuuuuummmmmmmmmmmm of many dehumidifiers and fans. It doesn't look like there is a ton of damage and didn't see anything that was ruined beyond the point of no repair so PRAISE GOD!
