Work Days 2 & 3

We have been having a good time working on the house. We don't seem to find enough time in one day to get our tasks done but we are getting there. Chris has been busy patching holes and I have been working hard on the kitchen. We replaced all of the electrical plugs and switches and have about 1/2 of the carpet torn out but since we are putting down hardwood flooring, we have to remove ALL of the trim too. We have found that there is about 20-30 coats of paint on the plaster walls and even learned that some people like to paint right over the heat registers and plugs!!! We haven't set a goal for a move in date yet because we are just taking our time and doing things right, the way we want them. I think that the employees at Lowe's are starting to know us by name but they are great! Will keep the updates rolling when I can keep my eyes open!

house is looking good. have you thought about sanding and varnishing the original floor? andy and I found some old hardwood in our dining room when we moved in and re-did it and it turned out awesome. it's super easy to do. even though it has some scratches in it, it gives it great character. just a suggestion. keep up the hard work
